"For this project I drew a detailed old fashioned elevator, to represent the everyday modes of transportation that used to power human society. I used gradient markers, pencil, and color pencil. Then, I included a glimpse into the underwater world as a manifestation of the transition of mechanical man-made objects as they are reclaimed by nature again, after so many months of disuse. Also, I have always loved the ocean, since receiving my scuba diving license a few years ago, I have tried to incorporate the sea's vivid colors and fascinating depths into my art." -Mai Listokin
